Are your banking machine deposits causing problems for your bookkeeper?

Bank machines are great for busy entrepreneurs with after-hours deposits.  But if your receipt only shows the total of your deposit, it takes more sorting time on the bookkeeping end.

Some machines, at the click of a button, will issue a receipt with the images of all cheques deposited. If your bank doesn’t do this, then simply deposit each cheque separately. There’s no extra cost, and when you deliver those receipts, your bookkeeper will thank you!  Before taking your deposit to the bank photo copy all the cheques.  This information can be very valuable if you ever need to take legal action to collect an account.
