Karima Delijam is the first in her family to pursue a career in accounting. Her success has inspired younger family members. “I have some nieces and nephews who have decided to follow in my footsteps.”
Karima received her Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a major in Banking and Financial Affairs from Avicenna University in Kabul, Afghanistan (2013). Her subsequent work in Kabul resulted in a position as a Finance and Grants Specialist for an international firm.
In January of 2022, Karima arrived in Canada with her husband and two children. Before joining PCS, she held a volunteer position as a bookkeeper and financial officer for the Grow Women Leaders Organization. Her detail-orientation and time management skills support her in being successful at work. “It’s a good feeling when I know I’ve provided great service to clients.”
An avid learner, Karima appreciates being part of the PCS team. “We work as a team so we can keep up-to-date with the changes in client files.” Along with work, Karima’s goal is to complete her studies toward her CPA designation.
A busy mom at home, Karima enjoys cooking for her family. “I help my daughter with her homework and play with my young son.” Reading a good book or taking piano lessons are ways for Karima to unwind.
