Team Bios

Jenny De Guzman’s focus on a financial career was influenced by her older brother who became a successful accountant. “In the Philippines, there was a major need for accountants, so it seemed a good fit for me,” said Jenny.

In 2011, she received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. Starting in the corporate arena, she worked her way up to Area Finance Controller for a transportation company. Because of the opportunities in Canada and at the urging of her sister-in-law, Jenny and her husband moved recently to Alberta.

Jenny feels a great sense of purpose about the financial impact she can help make. She loves to solve problems – especially accounting challenges that many businesses face. “I get excited when I can provide valuable information that helps owners make sound decisions.” Her careful attention to detail combined with her ability to organize and prioritise her work life help Jenny accomplish her daily goals.

“PSC is very different from the corporate world. With such a variety of clients, I’m enjoying the many learning opportunities here.”

At home, Jenny indulges her passion for all kinds of music – though her current favourites include the popular bands from Korea. She and her husband also spend time together exploring local cuisine options. As they get used to life in Alberta, they plan to see the sights.
